Yes we are. I received a call from a gentleman in the UK inquiring about my computer repair services. His uncle staying in Saint Pete Beach needed some DSL help. No Problem. From the UK the gentleman was able to prepay for the services. Using PayPal the payment was facilitated, he called using VOIP. Never in my wildest dreams would I believe that I’m part of the Global Business Network. This not the first time either.

                                     Actually the first website I wrote, while a senior in the Applied Technical Management Program, doomed my last year of college.                                         Dell Dimension’s having the GDI problem (that stops installation) there is a fix. Even though the dell will not load Windows XP anymore, it will install Vista. The Board I have here is slowing the yellow light. I had to swap DVD readers but I successfully installed Home Premium on the Dimension. Nothing but the DVD reader was replaced. Light is still yellow but NO problems.

                                        Microsoft & Dell have NO fixes. They’ll tell you to change the processor, the ram, etc. BULL The problem appears to be in DELLS case hardware. If you take all the hardware out, put it in a standard case you can load XP or Vista. I’m getting tired of Dell & Microsoft QUESSING at fixes.

                                    The cheapest fix is the Vista upgrade or Full install. It works, that’s the bottom line. Right now Dell is still trying to figure it out…… Dell the Dimension has had this problem for over a year,,,, can’t fixit? Dell really put the screws to ALL Dimension owners.

PS    Microsoft is grabbing EVERY penny they can. There WPA (Authentication) crap never worked properly. That’s why I’m going LINUX. Microsoft’s GREED is what will bankrupt them…… 

                                            I’m still waiting for CA to fail. Today a Computer with PCillian had over 50 viruses & lots of spyware. Client had brought his PC in because his computer was freezing up. CA killed 50 viruses and the PC ran again. This computer couldn't even get on the internet. 

 Computer Associates does not pay me. I’m just an observer who sees what works and what doesn’t. CA quit the free subscription, but for a limited time we’ve got it for just $30. A bargain for the best Anti Virus product out there. Ask my clients…..

Because of the poor condition of the area roads, congestion, etc. we’ll be raising our service call rate to $35.00 starting 9/1/2007. As this gets worse we’ll keep increasing our prices. The roads are always under repair and sitting thru 3-5 light cycles is the norm here in Florida.

If your planning on moving to Tampa, Saint Petersburg or Clearwater, Don’t. The streets are in a constant state of repair. Traffic Congestion is Deplorable. As a Native of Saint Petersburg I can’t take it. My fellow natives are leaving in masses. There closing schools because of the loss of students. The Quality of life in Saint Petersburg continues getting worse. Once a week watering, closing libraries early etc is the norm. New 500-1000 room Condos are being built even though this areas infrastructure can't handle it. There no such thing as managed growth. PayOff Growth is the big thing. The bigger the "Donation" the easier it is getting a project through. The community groups in Tampa now DEMAND payoffs, with no fear of prosecution. Ask Met Life about the demands.

We’ve had our company vehicle broken into, and packages stolen from our office, while were there. Saint Petersburg has lost its appeal and we’re considering relocating out of state.

To the Public Officials, influence peddling is a norm. The northerner, Jim Smith did real well here. Lots of questionable deals, bet he's indicted by the Grand Jury. The Crooked NBA Ref lives in Sarasota. The Denver Banker Indicted is now working in St. Pete. A scummy Tampa Sherriff was writing DUI’s to anyone, without evidence. He was fired and may be prosecuted. His boss was suspended.  A felon was shot 84 times by sheriff’s deputies last year, justified of course. 84 bullets, overKILL comes to mind. Real-estate Scams are the norm with highly inflated housing prices. Vick is thinking of moving here close to OJ.The Scum has come and the locals are getting out of town.

If you get your paycheck from the government, you’ll love it here. Many of the Principals  & Teachers have bad criminal records but are now working in government. The Head of the Tampa Port Authority runs a Gay website selling porn. The new head of Tampa’s Buses is under indictment in Rochester.

Now you’re seeing the picture. If you’re honest, hardworking, and ethical, Florida is NOT the place to be. If you’re inclined to Influence Peddling, working in government, Bribery & Payoffs, You’ll be right at home. Public Officials fear no reprisals, and that’s evidenced by the way they carry on

Oh I forgot the taxes and insurance. Expect 2-3 K per year minimum in taxes and about the same for Insurance, if you can get it. That’s with a 5-10k deductable that’s on a modest 2bed 1 bath house. That house sold 4 years ago for $70K now is 180K. No changes. But there is the Fore closer market, in which we lead the nation. Hard to pay those inflated prices when Florida’s wages are the lowest in the country. Auto Insurance rates are about 10% the value of your car with a 1K deductable. Expect to pay a minimum $150-$300 a month for electric, and we're always RATIONING water, it's a bargin about $50 a month per person.
